Raising Funds for Georgie's Treament

The Operation

Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR)

This is the name of the operation Georgie needs to be able to help her walk independently.

It will involve cutting some of her lower spinal cord in order to reduce spasticity.

Georgie has been clinically assessed as a suitable candidate for the operation by surgeons here in the UK and from the USA.

SDR funding has been limited to a trial in the UK and currently withdrawn by the NHS.
